Nitrates in Our Drinking Water, Part 2 - Charting a Cleaner Future

The most widespread pollutants in California drinking water are nitrates -- colorless, odorless contaminants that can be especially dangerous to pregnant women and infants. One of the main sources of nitrates in California is fertilizer from farms. In the second part of our series produced with California Watch, Central Valley Bureau Chief Sasha Khokha looks at how some farmers are changing their practices to protect drinking water.
