Courtroom Cameras and the Prop. 8 Trial

Another legal twist involving California's ban on same-sex marriage is playing out in court this week. The latest skirmish was sparked by Vaughn Walker, the judge who struck down Prop. 8 last year. Walker wanted that trial to be broadcast live. The U.S. Supreme Court stepped in to block the broadcast, but Walker allowed cameras to record the proceedings and kept a copy for himself.Reporter: Scott Shafer

Shark fin soup is the culinary centerpiece of Chinese weddings and other big celebrations. In California, actual shark fin can go for $1,400 per pound. But next week, the state Legislature will debate a bill to ban the sale of shark fins.Reporter: Krissy Clark

Sharks aren't a problem in San Francisco Bay. But biologists say there are hundreds of other species that shouldn't be there, dumped into the water by cargo ships. In hopes of restoring native fish and wildlife, California adopted the strictest rules in the country to prevent more foreign species from getting into the bay.
