Stage one of the 2011 AMGEN Tour of California from South Lake Tahoe to North Lake Tahoe was canceled due to unsafe conditions on May 15, 2011.

The 146 cyclists in the Tour of California will get a second chance today to start the race after organizers canceled the opening stage around Lake Tahoe due to snow. Reporter: Dan Brekke
