Throughout California, counties are bracing for an influx of inmates and parolees now under state control. It's called realignment, and it's part of Governor Brown's plan to reduce prison overcrowding. A new report says realignment will help reduce the inmate population -- but not as fast as courts are demanding.

East L.A. singer-songwriter Ruben Guevara has composed film scores, sung with Frank Zappa and influenced many Latino musicians who play doo wop, R&B and rock.
