Legislature Tries Again on Universal Health Care

Supporters of universal health care continue their quest at the state Capitol, with the latest iteration, Senate Bill 810, getting a committee hearing tomorrow. Similar plans have been vetoed in the past, but backers hope a new governor brings a new result. Reporter: John Myers


Algae, Fuel of the Future?

Earlier this week, Los Angeles-based OriginOil announced a collaboration with the Department of Energy to commercialize a process to extract oil from algae. Given the demonstrated appetite for biofuels, researchers are racing to bring their ideas from the lab to the marketplace. Reporter: Erik Anderson
