Since last fall, hundreds of medical marijuana operators have gone out of business amid a statewide crackdown by federal prosecutors. In many cases the feds haven't gone after operators themselves, but their landlords. Now, one of California's biggest medical marijuana establishments -- embraced by local officials as a model business that donates to the poor and pays millions in taxes -- has become the feds' latest target.
