The old Kaiser Shipyards in Richmond, California were a critical part of the Allies' victory in World War II. These days, a product of that era is docked at the modern Port of Richmond. The World War II battleship USS Iowa is being turned into a museum. The Iowa stirs deep emotions in veterans and the people who visit her.
