Anaheim Debates Change in Wake of Shootings, Protests

The Anaheim City Council met in a special closed session Thursday to address a number of contentious issues, including how to respond to public unrest following a couple of officer-involved fatal shootings. There was a lively public comment period before the closed session. Reporter: Ed Joyce

Focus of Mars Exploration Shifts Away from Humans

According to NASA's web site, Curiosity is still on course to reach Mars Sunday night. When it bursts through the atmosphere, a bunch of scientists at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena will be ready to burst into joyous applause, presuming everything goes well. Curiosity is a complicated, expensive project, although not quite as complicated and expensive as trying to land humans on the red planet. Reporter: Roger Rudick
