A bill on Governor Jerry Brown's desk could save California college students thousands of dollars. It would replace many of the expensive textbooks students must buy with low-cost digital downloads. The plan would also create online "study halls" where students around the state could discuss the curriculum. Reporter: Ana Tintocalis

This November, millions of Californians will vote in a language other than English. Since 1975, federal law has required counties to provide bilingual ballots and language assistance when at least 5 percent of the local population has difficulty functioning in English.
