Flame Retardants Linked to Children's Health Issues

A new study finds one class of flame retardants -- chemicals used to make furniture and electronics more fire-resistant -- are linked to lower IQs and poorer coordination in children. Underwater Sound Testing Permit Denied

The California Coastal Commission has denied a request from PG&E for underwater seismic testing around the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant. The utility wants to use air guns to shoot high-decibel soundwaves deep into the ocean floor, which might provide data about underwater fault lines. But there are concerns the sound would hurt marine mammals. Reporter: Alison St. John
