It's been four years since California voters enacted a ban on same-sex marriage. Friday afternoon -- after years of legal twists and turns -- the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to take up the fundamental question: Does Prop. 8 violate the U.S. Constitution? The court also agreed to hear a related case involving the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
