In recent years, the Inland Empire has become a major center for logistics, helping to process the flow of goods from the ports of L.A. and Long Beach to the rest of California and the country. The industry has been a welcome job generator in the state's fastest growing region, but all those trucks driving around add to an already substantial pollution problem.
