From the dub-reggae of the 60s, to the hip-hop explosion of the 80s, music sampling has been around for awhile. But its latest
incarnation -- the mash-up -- wasn't familiar to most people until last month, when record label EMI ordered an L.A. producer
to stop distributing copies of "The Grey Album," a digital combination of The Beatles' "White Album" and JZ's "Black Album."
Still, as digital technology becomes more accessible, cracking down on mash-ups seems almost impossible.Reporter: Stacy Bond
