Celebrating the Fourth in Fairfield and Kenwood

In the city of Fairfield, Independence Day is a time to honor the men and women serving in the armed forces. Residents, veterans and personnel from nearby Travis Air Force Base are busy preparing entries for this weekend's community parade. Meanwhile, Kenwood, a sleepy farming town in Sonoma, welcomes 8,000 to 10,000 visitors on Independence Day, when it plays host to the annual World Pillow Fighting Championships.
