Phone Service Outage in Southern California

Large portions of Southern California were hit by a computer software glitch that knocked out long distance telephone service, including the 9-11 system. Emergency officials posted extra police in some areas and residents were told to use cell phones in case they needed help. Reporter: Rob Schmitz


Proposition 76

As Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger campaigns for the initiatives that he claims will reform state government, he calls Proposition 76, a proposal to change the state budget process, the most important. Prop 76 is a complex measure. One element has not gotten a lot of attentio: how it would change the way economic forecasting is used. Reporter: John Myers
