Hunger in America's Breadbasket

A recent report from the Brookings Institution says Fresno has the highest concentration of urban poverty in the country. The news is ironic for a place that grows so much food. In response, the state is setting up a task force to study the problem. Poverty is also common in the rural communities surrounding Fresno, where some children don't have enough to eat.
