A new study is raising concerns that treated sewage discharged off the Southern California coast contains chemicals that can alter animals' reproductive systems.
Intersex animals are not unknown phenomena, but most instances have been found in freshwater settings. Environmentalists say this is among the first studies to document the effects in a marine environment. Reporter: Sarah Varney
