Nearly one in three California residents comes from another country. Whether they come as political refugees or high-skill workers, immigrants are transforming the state. Some are just quietly working and raising their families. But more and more, immigrants are stepping forward to lead their communities. Blong Xiong, a Hmong refugee born in Laos, recently became the first Asian-American elected to Fresno's city council. Reporter: Sasha Khokha
