Family Medical Leave Anniversary

This month marks the third anniversary of California's pioneering law granting workers paid family leave. California was the first state in the nation to provide paid benefits to new moms and dads, and family members caring for seriously ill loved ones. The program reports on how the law is working. Reporter: Sarah Varney


Rural Broadband

A new study from a public policy think tank shows that only about half of all California households have access to broadband internet. In addition to limits on access for the urban poor, the report from the Public Policy Institute of California describes the digital divide that separates urban and rural computer users.
