The state department of fish and game launches an all-out war on a toothy invasive fish called the Northern Pike. The pike
has taken over Lake Davis in rural Plumas County, about an hour north of Lake Tahoe. Starting today, that lake will be closed

Like other mainline Protestant denominations, the Presbyterian Church is struggling to stay unified despite deep divisions
over homosexuality and same sex marriage. The dispute has led several conservative churches to announce plans to break away
from the denomination. At least one church judicial body has ousted a minister from his job for marrying same sex couples.
