Snowpack Survey
State scientists took a critical snow measurement in the Sierra yesterday. It's the most important snowpack survey of the season, and it helps the state forecast the coming year's water supply. This year, state officials say there's a twist.

Cyber-attacks on Tibet Groups
As police in China continue to crack down on protesters in Tibet, another battle is being waged through the Internet. California-based organizations supporting Tibetans have been targeted in sophisticated cyber-attacks designed to disrupt their work and gather information on their members and activities. The attacks have increased since the uprising in Tibet began -- and they're being traced to Internet servers in China.
