PALCO Bankruptcy
More than 200,000 acres of redwood timberlands are on the line today as bankruptcy proceedings get underway for the north-coast Pacific Lumber Company, now known as PALCO. A judge will consider five competing plans which could result in a huge shift for a company that has long been at the heart of controversy for its logging practices.
