We continue our California Songs Series with Matthew Pryor, singer and songwriter of The New Amsterdams. Pryor lives in Lawrence, Kansas, but he's spent much of his adult life on the road. Before forming The New Amsterdams, he toured North America, Europe and Japan with the popular indie rock band The Get Up Kids. We spoke to Pryor about his song "From California" and the challenges of balancing a young family with a musician's life on the road.
