Since the early days of the AIDS crisis, federal policy has banned gay men from giving blood in order to prevent the spread of HIV. Gay activists say the policy made sense when HIV tests were crude. But given the accuracy of today's screenings, they say the federal policy is now just plain discriminatory. Some college campuses in Northern California have banned blood drives altogether. Other campuses are finding ways to protest without reducing the region's already vulnerable blood supply. Reporter: Sarah Varney
