Majority Minority Counties

For years, it's been inaccurate to use the word "minority" to describe California's Latino, Asian-American, or African-American residents. We've been a majority minority state for years now, where no single ethnic group dominates. New census data shows how California's diversity can be found at the county level too. Flying Across the Pacfic

The world's largest passenger plane strutted its stuff this week in California. During demo flights in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Emirates Airlines proved luxury flying isn't a dead concept. With on-board showers and deluxe service, the airline wants to grab a chunk of the booming and lucrative route from California to Asia. And it's not the only one -- the growing ties between the state and countries across the Pacific is generating big dollars for airlines flying out of California. Reporter: Oanh Ha

Fencing Prodigy Dreams of Olympic Gold

Dozens of California athletes are competing in the Beijing Olympics, in sports ranging from archery to water polo. One of them is fencing prodigy Gerek Meinhardt. At 18 years old, the San Francisco native is the youngest American ever to fence in the Olympics. Reporter: Reid Pillifant

Scraper Bikes

Oakland is a town where hip-hop is king and cars known as "scrapers" are huge. They're large, bright and have rims so big that they scrape the inside of the wheel well. Recently, some Oakland teenagers have taken those aesthetics and applied them to bicycles. They've created a scraper bike music video that's become a YouTube sensation. We talk to the Scraper Bike King, Tyrone Stevenson Jr., and some of his crew.
