New Snowpack Survey

State meteorologists will be strapping on snowshoes and heading to the Sierra for another snow survey this morning. They're likely to find a healthier snowpack after this weekend's storms than they did a month ago. But state officials warn that doesn't mean California has emerged from a severe drought. A Budget Crisis for Schools

Cash-strapped schools are hacking away at programs that were once considered central to student achievement. Schools say they have no choice but to slash teachers and programs as they wrestle with shrunken budgets. Many say the cuts to education in the latest budget may hurt California schools for years to come. Reporter: Oanh Ha
