The sixth anniversary of the Iraq War came and went with relatively little notice this week -- nothing like in past years when anti-war sentiment was at a fever pitch. More than two dozen people were arrested Thursday in anti-war protests in San Francisco. But earlier in the week, military veterans marked the anniversary in a very different way.

Banned Bullets

Lead bullets were banned last year in California, anywhere the endangered California condor flies. That's because lead is toxic to these big birds. News came out recently that 99 percent of California hunters had already made the switch away from lead bullets. But that report may have been misleading and premature. Reporter: David Gorn

Laton Comes Alive

The Central Valley is well known for cultivating some of the world's best fruit and vegetables. It's not so much known for cultivating art. That may change this weekend in the Fresno County town of Laton. An eight month partnership between Laton and a Los Angeles arts school has the town buzzing. Oakland's White Elephant Sale

This flattened economy has the few people out shopping looking for bargains. And bargain hunters had plenty of low-cost items at the recent White Elephant Sale in Oakland. The event is one weekend each spring, and this year's marked its 50th anniversary.
