Memorial Day Letters

In towns and cities throughout California this weekend, ceremonies will honor the sacrifices that come with national service. In Torrance, State Senator Jenny Oropeza will present letters written by middle school students to the families of seven local men killed in the line of duty.

Carbon Offsets at the Airport

Memorial Day weekend signals the start of the summer travel season, and that means a lot of fossil fuel burned on the road or in the air. Coming soon to California airports are kiosks where passengers will be able to 'offset' their share of a flight's CO2 emissions -- for a cost. Reporter: Rori Gallagher
