College Hard to Reach for Undocumented Students

Three million high school students across the U.S. are receiving their diplomas this month. About 65,000 of them are in the country illegally, most of them in California. But few of those students go to college. Money is a major hurdle for the roughly 6,000 who do pursue higher education, because they're not eligible for most financial aid. We tell the story of two young women, graduating today, who are trying to get to college.Reporter: Kathryn Baron

A couple of thousand cyclists are winding their way from San Francisco to Los Angeles as part of an annual bike ride to raise money for AIDS and HIV programs. Now is a critical time to do so, as millions in state funds for testing and prevention programs are on the chopping block. Our own Scott Shafer is pedaling in this year's AIDS Life Cycle ride. The group was rained out in Lompoc, where Scott shares how riders are feeling.
