Schwarzenegger's Lieutenant Governor Choice Is Up in the Air

The election of Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi to Congress yesterday leaves an opening in the number two spot. That gives Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger a rare appointment to a vacant statewide office. A typical governor would simply pick someone from his own political party. Google Goes to Court

Google's plan to create a universal online library will have its day in court--again--starting next Monday. The Internet search and advertising giant is trying to thresh out a class-action settlement with authors and publishers. But the case has drawn a wide range of critics who say Google's book project gives one company a dangerous degree of control over a vast storehouse of knowledge. Reporter: Peter Jon Shuler
