During World War Two, thousands of Japanese Americans were relocated to the Manzanar camp, at the base of the Eastern Sierra in Inyo county. This weekend, the U.S. Park Service opens a new interpretive center at Manzanar, and, for the first time, makes choices about how to interpret this chapter of history.
