Poll Delivers Bad News for Schwarzenegger's Props
A new poll out this morning suggests that many voters remain skeptical about Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's proposals to reform state government. The Field Poll shows that no more than a third of the voters surveyed would vote "yes" on either the governor's plan to cap state spending or his plan to change how political districts are drawn. The only one of the governor's proposals with a majority of support is his plan to make it harder for public school teachers to receive tenure.

State Air Board to Set Guidelines for Dairy Farms
California produces more milk and butter than any other state in the nation. But its cows also produce toxic gases that form smog. And most of the state's dairies are located in the San Joaquin Valley, already home to some of the nation's dirtiest air. When the State Air Board meets in Fresno tomorrow, officials will decide how many cows a dairy can have before it's subjected to pollution control regulations.
