Robert Mondavi Dies

ListenListen to segment (RealMedia stream)
Wine maker Robert Mondavi died at his home in Yountville Friday morning. He was 94 years old. Mondavi championed California wines long before they were popular. He was a major force in putting Napa Valley wines on par with European vintages. In 1999, Scott Shafer visited with Mondavi at his winery in Napa where he recounted his earliest memories of the family wine business.
