CSU Enrollment Cap
The nation's financial crisis -- coupled with California's fiscal woes -- means big challenges for higher education. First, student financial aid checks were delayed due to the budget impasse. Then the University of California's endowment lost $1 billion. Now, faced with a second round of funding cuts, the Cal-State University system has decided to cap enrollment for the first time in its history.
